We compare and contrast the two primary methods used in every ICU: Passive Humidification (the "artificial nose" or HME) and Active Humidification (advanced heated systems). We'll go beyond the surface to analyse their mechanisms, benefits, and crucial limitations, including factors like dead space, airway resistance, and the role of modern heated-wire circuits.

This module prepares you for real-world challenges. What do you do when an alarm sounds?  Learning to recognize and respond to different alarm conditions, including prioritizing alarms and troubleshooting common issues.
