Overview
The Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACPLS) Provider course is a nationally recognized program designed to equip healthcare professionals with advanced knowledge and decision-making skills required to manage cardiac and respiratory emergencies. Delivered in a fully virtual mode, the course focuses on advanced airway management, cardiac rhythm recognition, defibrillation principles, pharmacology in resuscitation, and coordinated team-based response during cardiac arrest and peri-arrest situations, in line with nationally accepted guidelines.
Completion of the online modules leads to certification of the virtual ACPLS Provider learning component. To qualify for full ACPLS Provider certification, candidates are required to attend and successfully complete an instructor-led, hands-on practical training and assessment session conducted at the Healthcare Sector Skill Council’s Advance Technology Centre (HSSC ATC), a high-fidelity simulation laboratory. This blended learning approach ensures strong theoretical understanding and practical readiness for advanced life-saving interventions.

Description
This nationally recognized ACPLS Provider course is delivered in virtual mode and focuses on advanced life-support concepts, cardiac rhythm management, airway support, and resuscitation pharmacology. Curriculum

This module focuses on rapid patient assessment, scene safety, and prioritization of airway, breathing, and circulation. Learners will understand the systematic approach to managing cardiac arrest and peri-arrest situations.
This module covers identification and interpretation of common cardiac rhythms encountered during emergencies. It explains the principles of defibrillation and cardioversion, including safety measures and clinical decision-making.
This module explains advanced airway management techniques and ventilation strategies used during resuscitation. It emphasizes appropriate airway device selection and effective oxygenation to support patient outcomes.
This module introduces medications commonly used in advanced life support scenarios. Learners will understand indications, dosing principles, routes of administration, and safety considerations during resuscitation.
This module focuses on coordinated team response, effective communication, and leadership during resuscitation. It also covers post-resuscitation care, stabilization, documentation, and patient handover.
